Equipment to Buy

  • External Hard Drives * 2 - In the range of 250gigs each - should be able to get cheap from Aldi or Komplett
  • DVD Burner - ideally external - for broadcast / music backup
  • Ammenities to re-arrange decks with producer in a more convenient position - possibly centre - most important - one in which all guests and producer can make eye contact + sufficient space for guitars etc
  • Misc cables - including - longer cat 5 cables (networking), mic to 3.5 (*2), 2 phono to 2 phono, 3.5 to 2 phono
  • Headphones to replace all the sets inside - 5 sets (sturdy)
  • mini disks recorders, with mics and headphones - to replace lost / stole (3 ?)
  • lock * 2 - for server cubbard and outer office cubbard
  • money box (secure) - for cash
  • lock for filing cabinet
  • additional mic * 1
  • mics to replace crap mics (if possible) * 3/4
  • equipment to properly arrange cabling - the digital arts people will know whats needed (Oisin)

Current Studio / Station Problems

  • Video Recorder - although the recorder may not be the problem
  • Que button not working
  • CD player 1 broken
  • Wiring, especially difficulty of easy rewiring combined with danger of plugouts*
  • Email address - we need to pick one
  • Website - needs vast improvement
